Torino-basedStudio Nucleohouses some of Italy’s most prestigious artists, designers, and architects. After successfully funding its ‘terra grass’ kickstarter campaign back in 2016, the collective of artists and designers, head by Piergiorgio Robino, have shifted gears towards sculpture-driven arts. In this exhibition, Studio Nucleo presents the ‘law of past experience’, a series of welded and polished bronze plates on vintage sculptures but today, Buffets and Cabinets is focusing on the BOOLEAN Modern Cabinet.
The design studio was founded in 1997 in Torino, Italy. Nucleo is a collective work of artists in several fields, such as contemporary art, Product Design, and architecture. It was founded by Piergiorgio Robino, Stefania Fersini, Alice Carlotta Occleppo, and Alexandra Denton. The studio is often inspired by and often evokes in their creations the comparisons between the past, the present, and the future.
Studio Nucleo acts as a kind of contemporary ministerial show. In their practice, they love to narrate epic stories throughout history. The design brand puts emphasis on important facts, symbols, signs, objects and materials that have altered human existence: metals, jade, etc, they draw references from within a 1000-year scope. Studio Nucleo creates modern design pieces that are unique and timeless!
