The Symphony Sideboard draws inspiration from church organ tubes, as well as the curves of violin. Like all of Boca do Lobo’s designs, the Symphony is hand made by experienced craftsmen, each with different specialties, from metal-work to wood carving. It features a cluster of polished brass tubes envelope an exotic wood structure, creating a harmonious artful juxtaposition to rhythm of the pipes.
Through Boca do Lobo’s vision, the Symphony seeks to re-interpret classic elements through contemporary design and cutting-edge technology, and has become an emblematic piece within the this Collection.
Piccadilly Sideboard, another eternal present for you from Boca do Lobo, is an exclusive design piece that combines the dynamism of design with the power of narrative. Piccadilly Sideboard is a highly expressive Limited Edition work, a precise knowledge of craft, materials and production techniques. The inside shows a clean exquisite mirrored interior containing four drawers and two shelves made from smoked glass. The resulting works are a blend of enchanting fantasy and potent reality.
The Heritage Sideboard is small journey through Portuguese history and culture. Covered in Azulejos, the Portuguese traditional hand painted born in Egypt (known as the zellige), the Heritage tells tales of the county’s maritime discoveries and expansion. The azulejo has become a landmark in Portuguese architecture, and can be found all over the country, from churches, houses and gardens. The Heritage comfortably blends in all environments, yet maintains a luxury appeal, and demonstrates the talent and craftsmanship that is poured into each Boca do Lobo piece.
Hand-painted-tiles have gained a privileged place in architecture throughout the centuries. Portugal has adopted them like no other country has and in order to honor the Portuguese hand painted tiles, Boca do Lobo created Heritage Sideboard. This piece presents a different number of layers, where each one tells a different story.
With the style of a precious jewel, the new Diamond sideboard, colored in green emerald, will make a splash in interior design since it is one of the hottest color trends for 2013. Like the amethyst Diamond, the new sideboard also features three highly sculptured doors leading to a gold leaf interior with shelving and two drawers.
The exterior of this fanciful piece is now presented in silver leaf finished with a luxurious shade of translucent green emerald with high gloss varnish. And instead of the whimsical lion’s head feet, the new diamond presents a base made from mahogany lined with bronze mirror.
A new take on one of Boca do Lobo’s most iconic pieces, the Diamond undergoes a process of Metamorphosis and enters a new aesthetic realm. The merging of metamorphosis as an evolutionary process, commonly associated with insects, with the philosophical conotation of the word that originates from Kafka’s prime work, the Diamond Metamorphosis Sideboard questions the meaning of beauty and seeks to provoke a reaction.
