ART HOUSE

Looking for “an expressive city home” that doubled as a “calming space”, this family hired Claire Driscoll for this exquisite interior design project.

The five-bedroom property, has heritage features, like corniced ceilings and marble fireplaces, which the owners wanted to accentuate.
“Their love of European architecture and detailing permitted us to feature the home’s original grandeur, which we aligned with the joinery.”

Claire Driscoll chose a play “between masculine and feminine, old and new”, creating “a visual and textural journey throughout, mixing modern and traditional aspects” during the 12-month renovation.
Soft fabrics like velvet in pinks, greens, and blues are mixed with parquet flooring, marble, and brass accents can be found in the living room. With an interplay of shapes, the area offers textures and the repetition of elements.

Also capturing the family’s sense of fun, this project by Claire Driscoll offers refined and sophisticated elegance and a “playful, yet sophisticated” atmosphere.
BONDI

An exploration of color, light, and texture, this interior project by Claire Driscoll blends a typical Victorian beachside property with an urban Melbourne inspired home.

Claire Driscoll offered a city edge to this project through the use of a bold, unexpected color palette and distinctive, textural furniture designs.

“The principles underpinning the transformation of Bondi are inspired by both a sense of place and an individual character”
GLORIETTA BAR AND RESTAURANT

A bar and a restaurant designed to shape a corporate precinct in North Sydney into lively eating, dining, and entertainment destination, this interior design project was inspired by the client’s love of all things Italian.

Claire Driscoll had a challenging transformation of a stark, voluminous, double-height glass box within a new landmark tower, into an intimate restaurant.

Space was deconstructed into separate zones by applying a range of floor treatments to contain each space, including polished concrete around the bar and northern dining area.
An earthy and organic and warm palette was achieved via the careful selection of contemporary, yet durable, furnishings and fittings.
C&L RESIDENCES

Created by a team of creatives and merging a combination of old and new architecture within a living precinct, this interior design project by Claire Driscoll was complemented by layering in unique, sculptural, high-end pieces that have a quiet comfort to their style.

Claire Driscoll layered soft tones against rich colours, natural materials and modern finishes, which, while juxtapose, work together to create a calm yet sophisticated home.

The Collingwood area boasts incredibly stylish dining, boutiques, and architecture, so the interior designer understood that the clients were after something different, with an edge rather than a standard design.

The focus for this interior design project was on using unique pieces that have an artistic and sculptural tone to them. By integrating different shapes, colors, and materiality throughout the space, Claire Driscoll created a subtle reflection of the vibrant and sophisticated suburb.
BAY HOUSE

Nestled into Sydney’s Gordon’s Bay the striking ocean and district views allowed for paired back styling to the newly renovated home.

Pops of color connect with the vibrant view, while individual feature pieces inject character, yet blend into the room. Sculptural forms in hand-made finishes complete each area and bring a relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere to the home.

In the kitchen, Claire Driscoll added dark wooden timber cabinetry and a marble counter to the island with raw timber.
“A previously stark white interior and exterior, we saw the opportunity to create a timeless approach with a moody palette of dark oaks, walnut, and soft linens.”

The designers adopted a tonal palette to provide contrast against the vast blues but ensured the ocean-side home provokes a visceral reaction, responding to ample indoor/outdoor living.

CLASSIC STYLING

Reflecting the calm interiors of the recent renovation this interior design project is a curation of furniture, lighting, and décor which brings to life the classic details of the home.

Collections of hand formed ceramics are layered alongside structural elements, whilst floral arrangements convey a sculptural element providing scale for the eye.

Contemporary furniture with classic references is selected throughout, while tone-on-tone coloor is used to bring life to differing areas of the home.

Renowned for creating calm and refined spaces, Daniel Boddam and stylist Claire Driscoll for Studio CD set out to transform the double-story home into a timeless abode fit for years to come.
MID CENTURY HOME

Picking up on the rich colors of the surrounding bush earthy tones of blue, green and brown were selected to highlight the interiors against the Modernist architectural backdrop.

Softly curved shapes and organic handmade features sit alongside industrial finishes such as glossy metals and injected plastics creating a relaxed elegance throughout the home.

Without disrupting the original façade, 8 squared have doubled the size of the home to allow for extended family visits.

The interior design is just as impressive, combining ‘50s elements alongside the latest technology to make this home into the 21st century and beyond.
WOOLWICH PIER

Referencing the buildings heritage values and elegant interior renovation Claire Driscoll styling for the story was delivered through sophisticated and traditional statements.

Pieces such as colored glassware and vessels, marble bowls, frilled vases, delicate floral arrangements, and brass detailing allow an overall finishing to the venue’s timeless design.

Revealing the hidden layers of concrete, brick, and steel, the design team relocated the staircase. Ceilings were left exposed, the first-floor salon was transformed into an elegant dining room, and the courtyard was restored.

The exposed brick through the bar is juxtaposed with other tactile materials like linen, velvet, brass, and marble, in order to offer an exclusive blend of feminine and masculine accents.
